Toyo Bunko is a research library and museum dedicated to the history and culture of all of Asia.
Our Missions
In order to introduce many people to the fascinating world of Asian studies, we are exhibiting books, maps, and paintings from our collection. We look forward to your visit.
Toyo Bunko's collection is open to the public for the purpose of researching the history and culture of Asian regions.
Toyo Bunko, as an academic research center for the history and culture of the entire Asian region, continuously advance bibliographic analysis of primary materials from Asian regions collected and held by Toyo Bunko, as well as fundamental research based on such analysis.
Toyo Bunko Academia is a place of learning that Toyo Bunko offers to the general public based on its valuable books, collections, and research results. We offer a wide range of courses including history, culture, languages, and reading of original texts from around the world.
