The Great Adventure of knowledge
-Invaluable Masterpieces from Toyo Bunko-
When it was established 100 years ago, Toyo Bunko held up missions to collect books, research and public outreach. Pursued the missions, and since the opening of the museum in 2011, Toyo bunko have held 38 special exhibitions with various kinds of themes.
This special exhibition, which is organized to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Toyo Bunko, has the theme of “The Great Adventure of Knowledge,” aiming to once again tell the richness and how interesting the Asian world beyond time and space is.
Through Toyo Bunko’s book collections, please experience Asia’s various kinds of people, languages, lives, histories, religions and natures as if you are traveling. Many of the materials on display have been passed down through ages, having survived critical situations such as natural disasters and war. By knowing those histories, we are sure that your way of looking at the familiar materials would change.
Now, please enjoy every bit of the great adventure to the world of Asia, where new knowledge awaits.

- Every Tuesday.
(When a national holiday falls on Tuesday, the museum is open on the holiday and is closed on Wednesday.)
There will be temporary closure during the Japanese New Year's holiday and the other dates.

- Adults 900 yen, seniors (65+) 800 yen, college students 700 yen, high school students 600 yen, group & pre-sale：20% off, disabled persons (+1 person) 350 yen.
- Group use
- Please contact us in advance if you wish to visit the museum in a group or use the museum as a school.
